Inna Larsen plays the hardanger fiddle for Scandinavian events, festivals, Sons of Norway Lodges, weddings, etc. in the Wisconsin and Northern Illinois area.  She chooses tunes from various regions of Norway and enhances her presentation with short stories about the tunes and the history of traditional music and dance in Norway.  Her music credentials are on her web page www.geocities.com/jeffinnakari

While you are there, please feel free to check out her historical romance, Heartstrings, featuring a hardanger fiddler and her husband's CD, Spirits of St. Paul, about Norwegian immigrants in 1890s St. Paul.

She also runs an informal hardanger fiddlers' group in Madison (Fykerudn's spelemannslag - after the Stoughton Fykerud brothers), so if anyone is interested in the group or lessons, please email her.  If you have never played the hardanger fiddle or dont have one, bring your violin.  She has taught several students who have never held a violin in their hands, it is indeed possible to learn the hardginfele with no violin background!

To contact us, please email us at jeffinnalarsen@yahoo.com or ivlarsen@wisc.edu
